What programming language should I learn to use video editing software?

Hello. I searched for years a free video editing just resized (as you would with an image) and pushing out the outer part of the video (as would an image) without excessive swelling. I thought I had found one, but keep the videos about 40 GB per movie (not a typo). So I decided to do mine. Since I am a beginner in programming please do not make assumptions that I know what you mean (probably because no). Just for your information I am using XP. Please send links to help tutorials. So tell me what compiler recommend and why? Thank you for reading.

Ignore all those who said to learn Visual Basic. Of course, it's easy, but not prevent it from ever learning to program seriously. One learns not to drive while driving a tricycle. You have several options, but since you're new to programming I do not want them all to you. Learning a language called Python. Its simple, clean, a lot of work for you, has a very large user base to get help from, and is used for serious cases. See here [1]. If you can afford it, some of the books are great, but if not, you can learn everything you need Online. You will not do great things for fantasy fast and probably will be several months at least until you can really do what you want. Do not become frustrated and be patient! Above all have fun!
